Refurbishment

A ten month project where we stripped the house back to the bare walls demolishing most of the ground floor and modernising a house that had not been touched since the 1930’s.

A modern open place space was created on the ground floor which is flooded with natural light thanks to the steel effect windows and doors and the sloping glazed roof with additional fixed glazed roof lights. The kitchen, dining and living room areas open out onto a newly formed raised terrace with columns and iron balustrades and rear house wooden wall panelling allowing for the property to retain all it’s period beauty.

The refurbished gallery staircase allows the house to keep its grand feeling and the addition of an en-suite bathroom with dressing area and modernised bathroom with picture book matched tiled wall brings the house into the 21st Century while retaining all of it’s natural charm.
